Project walnut veneer poolhouse

Some spaces are designed for living, others for unwinding. But the best ones bring both worlds together.

This stunning pool house by Studio Mas does exactly that. With a sleek yet inviting aesthetic, it combines natural materials, smart functionality and an effortlessly chic atmosphere. Think intimate gatherings, relaxed summer nights and a space that adapts to every occasion.

At the heart of the design is a custom walnut veneer, rich in warm tones that stand out against a crisp, clean backdrop. The darker walnut adds depth and character, creating an inviting contrast against the light walls and natural stone elements. A streamlined black lighting rail runs across the ceiling, reinforcing the modern aesthetic while providing functional illumination.

The details make the design. Beneath the striking white natural stone countertop, walnut slats introduce warmth and texture. This thoughtful touch not only softens the transition between surfaces but also enhances the sense of craftsmanship.

The result? A balanced, harmonious interplay between structure and material, where each element feels intentional.

One of the most striking features of this pool house is its seamless integration of technology. A screen discreetly drops from the ceiling, effortlessly transforming the space into a home cinema. When not in use, it disappears, leaving the walnut shelves fully visible and maintaining the refined aesthetic.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, walnut offers a host of benefits that make it a designer’s favourite. Its deep, rich colour palette adds instant warmth to any space, while its natural variations ensure that no two surfaces are alike. The complex grain patterns bring movement and depth, enhancing the material’s luxurious appeal.

Key advantages of walnut:

  • Timeless elegance: A material that ages beautifully and never goes out of style.
  • Natural warmth: Brings depth and richness to modern interiors.
  • Versatile application: Works across different design styles, from sleek minimalism to cozy sophistication.
  • Distinctive grain: Every panel tells a unique story.
  • Durability: A strong, resilient choice for long-lasting interiors.
