Architects or project developers who are looking for veneer for their project are welcomed at Decospan by Anne-Marie Debaveye. As a Wood Consultant she is part of the Business Development team. Her focus? Warming architects to the comfort of wood, immersing them in the endless possibilities of veneer and guiding them, sometimes literally, to the perfect trunk for their specific project. "Visiting and explaining our novelties, organising product launches, giving technical and aesthetic advice based on the architect's request (budget, colour, type of wood...), co-determining the content for online campaigns for architects: it's all part of my challenging job."

The thread in Anne-Marie’s job as a Decospan wood expert is establishing contacts with architects and maintaining relations with them. And the way she goes about it is at least ‘multichannel’. “I approach and inform architects about our products in a variety of ways”, says Anne-Marie. “Ranging from the traditional, personal visits and prospecting to inviting architects for a unique VR session to introduce our latest product, as we did recently at Infinite Wood. But I also accompany customers who visit our Veneerhouse, our inspiration centre where we can present 165 types of wood in large format. Our range is huge, and my job is to introduce the right veneer to the right architect. I give tailor-made advice, both for aesthetic and technical aspects."

Anyone who is guided by Ann-Marie as an architect can also count on meticulous handling. “When a project is started, I am also the one who plans and follows it up in our CRM system. As Wood Consultant, I therefore keep the entire process on the right track: from the very first contact with our products to the final finishing touches. When everything went well and the finishing touches are added, it's hugely satisfying and I get a real boost from convincing new architects to work with Decospan!”
